The Global Girl Leading Conference at Mulberry School for Girls
Last week, Mulberry School for Girls hosted the Global Girl Leading Conference, bringing together delegates from international schools in Italy, Kenya, America and Malaysia. Following a competitive selection process, our MAS Global Girl Leaders played a central role in organising and delivering the week, taking on roles in hosting, compering, media and logistics.
The busy programme included a Sustainability Goals conference on Tuesday, a visit to the Tower of London on Wednesday, and culminated in an inspiring day of talks, panels and workshops on Friday, bringing together girls from primary and secondary schools around the world, both in person and online.
We heard powerful keynote speeches from Dr Shabna Begum, Head of the Runnymede Trust, and two fascinating panels chaired by Jo Farrell, CEO of the Mulberry Schools Trust, and Professor Vanessa Ogden, MBE, Regional Director for London at the Department for Education. Workshops led by Amnesty International and local women artists, alongside original poetry by Mulberry students, made for a rich and thought-provoking programme.
The week concluded with an unforgettable reception at the Athenaeum in central London, kindly hosted by Professor Ogden. It was an incredible and inspiring experience, and our MAS Global Girl Leaders look forward to continuing this exciting programme of events throughout the year.
