London Assembly members visit MAS
On Monday, the Politics Society welcomed three London Assembly members, Marina Ahmad, Chair of the Police and Crime Committee, Zoë Garbett and Gareth Roberts, to speak to our students about an investigative report they are conducting on violence on transport in London.
The students were asked questions and were able to talk in length about their own experiences and offer suggestions on how our current systems could be improved. It was a great opportunity to get involved in politics and in helping contribute to London’s future.
The Members were hugely impressed with the way in which our students articulated themselves and noted down a number of ideas our students presented. It was a fantastic afternoon and our students did the school proud!
