Governor Mark Carney and Rushanara Ali, MP visit our school

On Wednesday 27^th February, we were excited to welcome Dr Mark Carney, Governor of the Bank of England and Rushanara Ali MP, as well as over 300 pupils from across the Mulberry Schools Trust to our school.

We were thrilled to secure such a prestigious visit, which gave pupils access to two of the most influential and high profile figures in the UK today.  Trustees, governors, staff and friends of Mulberry were also present.

Dr Carney and Ms Ali inspired pupils with their insightful and engaging discussions about life, work and the opportunities that follow when you pursue your interests.  The event ended with a Q&A panel and pupils from each school asked robust questions focusing on the expertise and role of the Governor, monetary policy and the dynamics of markets.

We were extremely grateful to Dr Carney and Ms Ali for making this such a memorable visit and we look forward to establishing new links with the Bank of England.
