An unforgettable experience in Gran Canaria

Over half term, MAS students from the TrailFam race team took on an incredible challenge at the world-famous Transgrancanaria event in Gran Canaria. Competing in the TGC Youth race, our athletes delivered outstanding performances, with four students securing top-10 finishes in a highly competitive international field! Beyond the race, they pushed their limits during a mountain training day and even took on a strong Canarian team in a thrilling basketball match. From the moment they arrived on the island, 7 Palmas extended a warm welcome. Having the the opportunity to go head-to-head against one of Canary Island’s top youth basketball teams, testing their skills at an elite international level, was both inspiring and eye-opening for our young athletes.

Beyond the court and trails, this trip was about more than just competition – it was a chance for cultural exchange, personal growth, and forging new friendships through sport.
