Year 12 students accepted onto competitive Nuffield Research Placement

Earlier this year, a representative from the Nuffield Foundation gave a talk to MAS Year 12 students about their highly competitive Nuffield Research Placement programme and careers within STEM industries.  The programme gives students the opportunity to work alongside professional scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians for 4 – 6 weeks over the summer holidays.

Each year over 1,000 students from across the country are provided with the opportunity to work on cutting edge research in professional environments. The programme is open to students in the first year of a post-16 science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) course.

We are delighted that the following six students have been accepted onto the programme as follows:

  • Jasmin Begum Kamal
  • Lilyma Begum
  • Makeen Chowdhry
  • Munirul Hoque
  • Rejanur Rahman
  • Anish Noshin (Reserve)

Lilyma Begum has already secured her placement at Imperial College London, whilst the other students will hear more about their placements next month.

It is a massive achievement to be accepted and huge congratulations to all the students for such an incredible outcome.
