Year 10 Work Experience

Over the last two weeks, Year 10 students have enjoyed work experience placements in a wide range of organisations.

By spending time in a range of professional environments, students have gained insight into different careers, workplace expectations, and the practical application of skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. They have also developed a sense of responsibility and time management, all of which contribute to their overall personal and academic development.

In addition, their placements have helped them build confidence, develop independence, and begin to understand their own strengths and interests, which is especially useful when making future decisions about subjects, further education, or career pathways. Engaging with employers has allowed students to form early professional connections and develop a sense of responsibility and time management.

We’ve had some lovely feedback from placement providers:

Thank you for sending these two students, they engaged with all bits of the business, were genuinely excited and wanted to learn and everyone found them an absolute pleasure to have this week. They also were able to perform a self-made presentation at the end of their work experience to a large amount of us regarding us and our competitors which was well presented with a lot of critical information in. Zinc Media said the students they had “were absolutely brilliant. Everyone here was so impressed with them; they were polite, engaged, and carried themselves incredibly well throughout the week. They asked thoughtful questions and really got stuck in with everything, which made it a pleasure to have them with us.
They were a fantastic reflection of the school, and you should all be really proud of them.”

Laudale Primary school said Adem was one of the best work experience students they have ever had.
