SEND Reform Engagement Event
On Thursday 18th December, we were pleased to host a regional SEND Reform Engagement event on behalf of the DfE and the Council for Disabled Children (CDC).
Our student leaders and the school choir welcomed over 150 delegates, including SENDCOs, teachers and School Leaders, who came along to the event to share their ideas, perspectives and principles on how to help build a SEND system where every child can achieve & thrive.
Georgia Gould, OBE MP, Minister for School Standards gave a speech and emphasised a focus on Early intervention, local provision, fairness, effective practice, and shared working between education, health, and care services.
The event was part of a wider ‘national conversation’ which will directly inform a formal consultation and a SEND White Paper, expected in Spring 2026.
