House trip to Lausanne 2020

On January 9th 2020, Mr Stokes, Ms Bartlett and Ms Hassan set off with a group of students to the sporting city of Lausanne in Switzerland.  They were there to attend the third edition of the Winter Youth Olympics; a major international multi-sport event and cultural festival for teenagers. The House leaders spent the weekend watching some of the events such as Alpine skiing, figure skating and ice hockey as well as doing some skating themselves and taking in the sights of the snowy Alps and the city of Lausanne itself such as the Olympic Museum with its exhibits relating to sport and the Olympic movement. The trip was a huge success and the students and staff had a great time. It was an especially great opportunity for our House Sports Captains.
