Covid-19 Catch-up Premium Grant and 16-19 Tuition Fund
Covid-19 Catch-up Premium Grant: £74,875
16-19 Tuition Fund: £41,007
We have identified that the Covid-19 Catch-up Premium grant should be used for academic catch up in years 7-11. The focus will be across all subjects for year 11 and English and maths for years 7-10.
Year 11 students will be offered small group tuition by their subject teachers (our own staff) over a number of Saturdays and holiday intervention sessions. Students will not all end up receiving the same number of hours of tuition support as our greatest focus and support will be targeted at the most disadvantaged in the cohort and particularly at those students with SEND.
For the students in years 7-10 furthest from target we will be using an external tuition provider, PET-Xi. The sessions have been arranged to cause the least possible disruption to students curriculum time and ensure maximum engagement. Students will receive 15 hours of maths or English delivered over three intensive days in a way that is targeted and engaging. 10 groups in total will have access to sessions with two or three member of staff (depending on the group size) for three days each.
The 16-19 Tuition grant will be used for small group tuition by their subject teachers (our own staff) over a number of Saturdays and holiday intervention sessions. We will also be using MyTutor to pride intensive 6 week online intervention sessions.
The impact of these grants will be measured using national results for Year 11 and 13 and internal assessment for years 7-10.
