On Thursday 7th March ten Year 12 students studying STEM subjects attended the British Gliding Association Go Gliding event in Dunstable Gliding Centre.
The students rotated around three workshops – a gliding simulator, a tour of the gliding centre and experiments around gliding design.
All students have been accepted to apply for a BGA Go Gliding scholarship worth £500 which will allow them to learn how to glide solo and gain a basic licence to fly a glider.
The project manager of BGA Go Gliding was “enormously impressed by the enthusiasm and engagement displayed” by our students.
