Y8 Brilliant club trip to the University of Sussex
On Monday 12th June 2017, twelve Year 8 students, who are part of the Brilliant Club, took an amazing trip down to the University of Sussex, to have their first meeting with their PhD tutor and begin their project. Students are studying academic subjects based on their PhD tutor’s research, completing weekly homework assignments and a final written assignment. They also had a tour of the university and met undergraduates.
The Brilliant Club is an award-winning charity that exists to increase the number of students from under-represented backgrounds progressing to highly-selective universities.
We are looking forward to the work the students will produce and the exciting new opportunities they will be given. Equally, we are looking forward to continuing to work with the Brilliant Club on future projects.
