Mitsubishi Employability Workshop

On Friday 30th June, Mulberry Academy Shoreditch Year 12 Economic and Business BTEC students were given the opportunity to attend an employability workshop at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities.

The workshop introduced students to psychometric tests, allowed them to participate in group tasks/case studies and they were interviewed by employees at Mitsubishi, including the CEO.  The students were most impressed and were provided with techniques to deploy in an interview setting.  They learnt important interview and networking skills, which will help set them up for the future.

The students also participated in a question and answer session, which provided them with an opportunity to ask the employees about their personal experiences and general career advice.

“I enjoyed it very much.  I got to meet the main recruiter at Mitsubishi who told me he had recruited everyone there that day.  He told me things like instant turn-ons and turn-offs at interview which I will use in the future.  It was also a chance to meet students from other schools and work with people I didn’t know.”
