Thrilling Contest Between Top Mathematics Students
On Wednesday 29th November 2017, Year 12 students Abir Miah, Iqbal Ali, Hamza Ibrahim and Abdikarim Regal participated in the regional final of the Senior Team Mathematics Challenge, a competition organised jointly by the Further Mathematics Support Programme and the UK Mathematics Trust. The competition took place at Queen Mary University of London and 37 teams of the best mathematics students from local schools and colleges tackled a series of demanding challenges for over three hours. The aim of the competition was to provide a stimulating and enjoyable challenge for 16-19 year-old mathematics students by focusing on problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills.
