Year 9 students and parents enjoy residential trip to University of Cambridge

During the Easter holidays, 11 students in Year 9 visited Clare College, University of Cambridge for an overnight stay, each accompanied by a parent. Everyone attending had the opportunity to find out more about universities, including the University of Cambridge. Students and parents were guided by current undergraduates and were able to ask questions about life as a university student. As well as visiting some of the colleges which make up the university, students and parents also spent time in the Fitzwilliam Museum, the university’s largest teaching museum, as well as exploring Cambridge city centre.

Parent Rita Bashar said: “It was a fantastic experience, we learnt so much about university life that I would have never been aware of. To visit and have a feel of the surroundings was a real eye opener. It’s certainly a university that Umayya would aspire to attend.”
