Year 7 students get Streetwise
On Tuesday 27th February the academy had the pleasure of welcoming Performance in Education to the academy. The company delivered an engaging performance and Q&A on Road Safety to Year 7. The purpose was to give students the opportunity to explore risk, responsibility and consequences as a pedestrian. The year group loved the humour and modern relevance of the performance which was well pitched to their interests and experiences. There was lots of laughter and enjoyment but also clear messages. Students were eager to answer questions at the end to show their understanding of key road safety issues around phone-use, awareness of other road users and rushing in a hurry.
