Year 10s address important topical issues during public speaking workshop

On Thursday 8th February, professionals from Lloyds of London visited the academy to deliver a public speaking workshop with selected Year 10 students. Our students spent the morning preparing a presentation on an aspect of current affairs which would affect business in the future. Topics ranged from ‘The Internet of Things’ to ‘The Implications of Brexit’. At the end of the session, all students presented their ideas. Although everyone involved did brilliantly, particular praise goes to Abdul-Basit, Laila Sabriye, Amina Begum, Kausar Hussain and Hiba B, who really shone during the speeches. Three students will be selected to go through to regional finals.
