Tea Time Talk: A General Election Special
On Wednesday 14th June, the academy was privileged to host another event within the Tea Time Talk series entitled: ‘A General Election Special: Careers in government and politics’. Students were joined by a Senior Advisor in the Prime Minister’s Implementation Unit, a local councillor and a Parliamentary Recorder from Hansard.
Together they discussed the recent general election results; career pathways into these coveted political roles; and offered advice on subject choices and university options.
This was a rare and wonderful opportunity for all students to meet high profile individuals from the world of government and politics and hear realistic and practical advice from someone in the know.
