Science club product testing trip

On Wednesday the 15th November, students representing half of the academy’s Science club were invited to meet Elbow Productions at Rich Mix. Elbow make films, design interactive games and they produce large-scale, multi-screen installations. Their work embraces Museums, Heritage & Visitor Attractions, Commercial, Educational and Arts based projects. Students were asked to attend the event as product testers and they completed a set of tasks linked to brand new computer games. The games are being prepared for an interactive exhibition in a museum in Saudi Arabia. The exhibit was based on the environment and helped children who live in the desert to understand other environments.

The students behaved wonderfully and really enjoyed the atmosphere of being treated like experts, whist getting the opportunity to watch a STEM workplace in action. The other half of the Science Club are scheduled to participate in the project on Wednesday 22nd November 2017.

The students loved their product testing roles and took their responsibility of troubleshooting and feedback very seriously!
