The Application Process

The Trust has agreed to adhere to the local authority’s (London Borough of Tower Hamlets) policy and procedures for admission arrangements for years 7-11 and pays a fee to the authority to manage the admissions process. This is for both secondary school transfer and in year admissions. These arrangements are published in the Local Authority’s school admissions booklet ‘Ready for Secondary School in Tower Hamlets’, which can be accessed here.

A paper copy of the booklet can be obtained from the school office or from the Local Authority’s Pupil Admissions Team on tel: 020 7364 5006.

If you live outside Tower Hamlets but wish to apply for a place at Mulberry Academy Shoreditch please apply to your home local authority who will process the application.

The academy fully participates in the locally agreed Fair Access Protocol and Behaviour Attendance Partnership. This collaborative working between the Local Authority and schools in the Tower Hamlets area ensures the early admission to school of the most vulnerable children, as well as the continuing education of children who need support with their behaviour. This reaffirms the Academy’s commitment as an inclusive local school, proud to serve our twin communities of Tower Hamlets and Hackney.
