I’m an engineer get me out of here!

On Tuesday 20th June 2017, Sixth Form students took part in an engineering session aptly named ‘I’m an engineer get me out of here!’. This was an online event where the students met and interacted with engineers. The session was like an X-Factor style competition between the engineers and the students who were the nominated judges on this occasion. Students challenged the engineers over fast-paced online live chats and had the freedom to ask the engineers anything they wanted. This was followed by another session enabling students to vote for their favourite engineer to win a £500 prize to communicate their work with the public.

At the end of the event, students had a dedicated engineer waiting online to answer questions and to help with engineering related careers advice.

Mustafe Ibrahim Muse said “I found the engineering session to be very beneficial as it gave us an idea into what engineers do. It also gave me an opportunity to ask engineers questions on their careers”.
