On Wednesday 7th March, a number of Year 10 students were personally invited to take part in Franklin Scholar interviews following an online application process. Franklin Scholars is an organisation that offers cohorts of Year 10 students – the Franklin Scholars – the opportunity and training to become better learners while they tutor and mentor younger students.  MAS Franklin Scholars will receive extensive training before going on to lead weekly sessions with Year 7 students that combine group activities, one-to-one literacy support and one-to-one mentoring.  Successful Year 10 students will get the chance to work closely with Franklin Scholars for a year and become part of national movement of young people dedicated to improving the world around them.  Students will receive targeted training and will have access to on demand support with professional resources, regular contact, visits and events.  The organisation will also connect them to a range of opportunities and events with other Franklin Scholars across the UK, to raise aspirations and ensure ongoing development and long-term impact.

Best of luck to all those involved.
