Winterfest_update2WinterFest Programme update January 2017: over £2,400 raised for local charities

Students and staff at Mulberry Academy Shoreditch are celebrating the fantastic success of its recent fundraising programme. Local charities are due to benefit from a fantastic effort from everyone involved in the WinterFest programme that generated a total of £2,467.

Following the launch of the academy’s third WinterFest Programme at the beginning of December 2016, the monies raised will be shared amongst local charities including First Love Foundation, the charity that runs the Tower Hamlets’ Foodbank.  The other charities supported by the academy include the vibrant multi-purpose community organisation St. Hilda’s East Community Centre and Macmillan Cancer Support.

The programme of activities included a Winter Fair, stalls in the community selling delicious academy home grown produce, a Christmas Jumper Day, the staff pantomime and a loose change collection.

We would like to thank all our students, their families and staff for their tremendous contributions, which help to support families and young people in our community.
