Fair Trade Friday Pop-Up Shop
On Friday 10th March 2017 the Fair Trade Pop-Up Shop was in full swing during the morning break in aid of the Samaritans, the charity chosen by Mulberry Academy Shoreditch students. Due to the resounding success of the event and the students’ enthusiasm to continue raising money for their chosen cause, the shop opened again during lunchtime.
An array of baked treats including chocolate muffins, delicious banana bread and pineapple upside down slices, was served up by Miss Howe’s amazing Year 9 student bakers. A bidding frenzy opened for the pièce de résistance – a whole pineapple upside down cake!
As usual, students were incredible and demonstrated their continued passion for social action. They raised over £100 for the Samaritans whilst raising students’ awareness of their work.
