Anti-Bullying Week

On the 12th – 16th November, the academy once again celebrated Anti-Bullying Week.  It was a huge success with our dynamic group of Community Leaders raising an impressive £113.39 by running the anti-bullying bake sale during Friday’s break and lunch time. All money raised this year will go to ChildLine.

Community Leaders played a key role in the week’s activities.  This year’s focus of, ‘Choose Respect’, gave students the opportunity to reflect on how they treat those around them. They encouraged students and staff to write hundreds of positive messages on ‘Make someone’s day’ postcards.  The Community Leaders made sure the postcards were all correctly dispatched in the academy’s very own post box and personally hand delivered on Friday 16th November, which was a lovely way to end the week.

We are really proud of the way that all students have responded brilliantly to this year’s theme.
