Accreditations

As part of ensuring students receive the most enriching educational experience possible, the Trust and Mulberry Academy Shoreditch have worked hard to acquire a range of specialist accreditations to demonstrate our expertise in a variety of areas.

Healthy Schools London Gold Award

The Healthy Schools London Gold Award is an endorsement of the healthy habits that MAS has shaped throughout the school and wider community; promoting and supporting the health and well- being of its students and local young people. Healthy Schools London has recognised MAS for implementing sustainable changes which have made a lasting impact on the school community. Students at MAS now have increased opportunities to be active both on their journey between school and home, and when they arrive, with an array of clubs and activities.

Teach First

The Trust and Mulberry Academy Shoreditch are proud partners of Teach First. The academy has a track record of employing young, passionate teachers through the programme, many of whom have progressed into middle and senior leadership roles in a short space of time. We are committed to the continued development and training of talented staff through the programme, and have seen a hugely positive impact on student achievement through this approach. The quality of MAS’s support and collaboration with Teach First can be seen in the case study Against the Odds – Five lessons in how to achieve the impossible: the story of Teach First

Inclusion Quality Mark

In July 2020, Mulberry Academy Shoreditch was awarded the prestigious Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Centre of Excellence.

International School Awards

The British Council has continued to be impressed by Mulberry Academy Shoreditch’s commitment and understanding of international education, resulting in further accreditation from the International School Awards. This initiative encourages schools to build partnerships with other schools across the world, allowing students to experience a range of cultures through shared projects and visits. The academy has a number of international partner schools, in countries such as France, Germany and Finland and is proud to have received such an honourable award.

The Prince’s Teaching Institute Leadership Mark

The Prince’s Teaching Institute (PTI) launched the Schools Programme in 2007 to recognise and reward school departments that develop inspirational ideas and activities which enhance the teaching of Art, English, Geography, History, Latin, Mathematics, Modern Foreign Languages, Music and Science, regardless of their students’ backgrounds or abilities. It is run as a membership group for school departments that choose to commit to increasing the challenge of their subject provision.
